Twenty-Two years of radio, and still rockin’! I’d always dreamed of working at the legendary WKQQ. Meeting Tony ‘TNT’ Tilford in 1989 was like meeting a god. He’d always promised to hire me as his ‘Music Director’ if he ever got to be a ‘Program Director’, and in an amazing display of integrity, (much to everyone’s surprise, mostly mine) TNT pulled me up from the miry Chattanooga clay and rescued my soul and career.

Seriously, it IS as great as it sounds and the WKQQ Listeners are the greatest, coolest and funniest bunch of mothers I’ve ever met. TNT’s still around, and now I’m the Program Director and what a great gig, the Legendary WKQQ…I still remember working at a couple of smaller stations back in the late 80’s and thinking how great it would be to work at WKQQ. There’s nothing else like it, brother!
